Wow, seeing Scarlett after 6 months, she has really changed color.
She has the teenager attitude now. Time for some [re]training.
The little Chilean Flamingos at 10 weeks are still balls of fluff.
A couple days later we go outside for a walk
Going around the "track" getting them to follow and trust us.
After making the turn towards home they are like horses headed back to the barn and lead the way.
Ellie and Bob bringing up the rear.
Playing with Flamingo's getting them used to being touched and to eat from our hand.
Sundays will be their day to "shine". We go to the front of the Zoo for 2-3 hours and let people learn about our Birds getting up close and personal.. Everyone seems to enjoy this while we try to keep them confined in our patio area and not getting their toes stepped on.
Paige and Angelo
Some of the Zoo staff come to see them also.
There is no biting so feeding is fun.
Bob has his spiel down pat and answers to most questions.
Hector comes to check us out
Bob, Paige and Angelo have really bonded
More training photos.
Come now, follow along,
Back at the front office I see a family who have brought in a Falcon that was injured on their property. The vet was to come and evaluate for our rehab program.
