Sundays at the Zoo

Sunday March 10, 2013

We are becoming quite the attraction on Sunday when we take our small "flock" of Birds out to entertain.

It takes the equivalent of  two humans for each bird  to handle this task as the crowds are getting bigger.

In our Patio area we have Scarlett on a stand, an information table with a display of eggs from large to small with information books and pictures.
Paige walks around greeting everyone , getting drinks of water with lots of touching..

The Train comes passed our "Station "as we have been added to the tour spiel.

Also passing us by this Sunday is Don and Rita Dorst taking Elvis , the pig for a walk.  Elvis was also a big attraction, stealing a bit of our Thunder.  "Can't top that!"

More drinks of water, while Mom gets her photo opp!
Bob giving his "talk" and answering questions. Kathy, Hector and Connie look and listen.
This Dad was taking lots of pictures of the kids.

Kathy Clark is the go "to" girl for our Spanish speaking visitors.

Kathy also handles the information table explaining about the different eggs.
Bob watches over  Scarlett getting water from a cup in the Boy's hand.
The Crowds were non stop today.

We are right near the Gorillas and they watch us over the wall. Lamadoc is getting his veggie treats.

I have to show how Paige is obsessed with "hair".  Today it was all about nibbling, snuggling, touching and hugging Connie's hair.  Here are pictures of the action.

Hey, get off the phone and pay attention to me.

I think Paige gets her picture taken 300 times each Sunday.Parents are interested also,When was the last time you got to touch or give a drink to a Flamingo?

After thinking this over and looking over the photos, I realize that Connie is very agile  able to squat and bend low to Paige's level, something us senior citizens can not do.  HUMMMMM!

Aww, all the hard work you put in at the zoo really shows.
