That was the week that was

July 19, 2014
Sitting on the Pontoon waiting for the family from California to arrive.  There is a contest to see who is the first into the water.  Scrambling out of the car the race is on!  Cameras are "stationed" on deck, top of hill and on pontoon.

Here they come, to top of the hill
Kevin was the first to touch the water, hum ,does that really count? Danielle with Dennis right behind,

Dennis runs to dive off the end of the dock so he is first " in the water", I guess it all boils down to the wording of the challenge.

Mike and Tina showing some love to the Palm Tree Mike had shipped to us about 4 years back.

Saturday at midnight we are at the Fireplace Bar for Dennis to celebrate turning 21.

Dennis was happy to finally be able to buy his Dad a beer.

On Sunday We had the "hangover" birthday party.

Note the sunglasses worn all day by Dennis.
Sunday afternoon, there were more balloons over the lake , and they touched down on the water. "This never happens" we say.  Mark's pontoon was right under one
of them.

I wonder why the "dip" into the water.

Watching Balloons and all the boats gathering under neath the Balloons  from the deck and from land and water.

Thinking it is time for the Pilot to lift off to make it over the trees and houses.

OH My , did he cut it too close?  Just cleared our houses.
There were many others still left to watch.  This many balloons at once never happen!

Jeff, Lisa, Hannah and Chloe stop by with their new pontoon to visit. Pup Lilly was here too.

The "smoking area"
Monday Night is Car Cruse Night.  We head to the Fireplace and many classic cars.  Earlier Kevin drove Grandpa's Corvette.  The first one to do so besides Granps..

Kevin likes Dwight's "57" restored Vette.

Kevin gets to set in the seat and dream.

Melissa likes Bob's Vette.    She also likes the Black Truck..

Mike Sloop's blue truck gets a few votes also.
Later Steve and Carol Kelly get permission from Lee to send off a Ghost Balloon.  OH NO !!!
It only goes a short way and comes down in the parking lot where all those classic cars are parked.
Lucky it landed in drive but then it caught fire and burned....

Steve stomped it out and picked up the pieces..
Holding what is left Steve gets lots of flack and laughter.
